VF and the Fires at Lorne

Hello everybody (thanks Andrew for putting the photos up), i had the good fortune to be at Lorne again on Monday until yesterday, Wednesday 30th. Got down to the beach in the morning and the sky was amazing it looked like thousands of angels had been traversing back and forth above the town. In one of the photos the main beach furtherest away in the photo is packed with many people, guessing a couple of thousand. Looking at the hill towards the middle of the photo near the town buildings is the direction of the fires over the other side of the hill. For most of the day there was continuous air traffic consisting of spotter planes and helicopters flying over the beach and fire sites. No smoke could be seen or smelt at all. Please keep up your calls as today is a major concern due to high temperatures and northerly winds. The annual rainfall of the surf coast/ Great Ocean Road was not achieved this year and the vegetation is as dry as a chip, literally. Economically this period from christmas to end of January is crucial for the economy so hard decisions are having to be made.

Please keep up your calls for the protection of the CFA people on the job, those people in town and the blessed elementals and lots of Violet flame for the transmutation of past records.
