The mind of God
How many minds are there when many different people say ‘my mind’, ‘I’m making up my mind’ etc? I’m reminded of a dictation, I believe it was Shiva. He said ‘ You already have the mind of God.’ That probably, at the time, did not strike me as much as it should have. This appears to be the human condition.
We hear or read something and it just does not strike a chord with us. It may do so later. Why not at the time? Do we have clutter we need to release? This is the case with the mind of God. The mind of God is so vast that at first, you really can only handle a little bit – bite-sized chunks so to speak. It is very easy to get lost in a space that is so vast and so you need an anchor point.
The place you start from and then venture out into. The mind of God is everywhere God is. Else it could not be the mind of God. Do you think God vacates a space once he has entered? God is everywhere it says in the Christian catechism book I studied at school. The first question was ‘Where is God?’ The answer was ‘Everywhere.’
My little self could not really incorporate a concept so vast, or so I thought. Some time later I lay on my bed and tried to imagine infinity. It blew my mind at the time. These things we do, these exercises help you along the way. You need a starting point. You need a point to jump off from.
The mind of God, when you first contemplate it, seems so incongruous simply because you have not been taught about it. No one in your past history that you can remember, has ever spoke about the mind of God have they? We do speak about the mind’s eye and what exactly is that? It is almost like there is an old memory that the mind has an eye.
So much like the all seeing eye of God. It just came to me. I have used the concept of the mind’s eye and never gave it much thought. It looks like there are clues in the language. This is good – if we can find them. The mind we use is only a small portion – the little part we call ours. You can actually expand into the other parts of the mind of God.
This mind of God is for you, it is yours to use.
