Teaching from the Messenger on Grieving
When someone we love passes on we are often at a loss of what to think or say. Elizabeth Clare Prophet has spoken profoundly on death and grieving in a Pearl of Wisdom published in 2012 called “A Journey into the Sunset—Dealing with Death.” She says:
Mourning is an important process of the psyche. The soul cannot simply slice off the experience of death. One has to move through the experience. One has to be willing to taste of the experience, no matter how painful, so that the pain, having been experienced, can move on to the ever self-transcending spiral, pass through the fires of the heart, and experience a new day and a new birth and a new resurrection.
Some people do not allow themselves to mourn the passage of a loved one because they think it is not part of the path of the ascended masters or not part of a certain level of attainment. There is no one, not even Jesus, who does not experience grief at the death of a loved one…
The summitlighthouse website now includes a link to download this profound teaching on grieving in an entire Pearl of Wisdom by our messenger. Also on the same link is the Prayer for Souls Taking Their Leave from Earth Today published in the Ashram Notes:
I am glad for these uplifting resources that we can share with people who have lost a loved one or who are grieving. Anyone can download the prayer and the pearl for free.
Yours in the light of Christ,
