Treasurers Report • Opening balance $4566.29 • Payments were Cater $500; Glenbarr Deposit $250; Optus 1300 $33.73 • Closing balance $3,812.56 • Airfares for presenters was not discussed Brisbane Update and proposal Proposal regarding the Brisbane Centre was presented by Geoffrey. The Brisbane lease was 12 months. The funds were from the Will of Beloved Marie Dulce de Almeida. The Centre was supplied and furnished from some of the proceeds of Beloved Marie Dulce de Almeida Will. Cara Whittred and Leanne Gill ran the Centre for that period. A great job was done by them and currently their desire is to no longer have a role in the Brisbane Study Group and to minimise their involvement altogether. The interesting concern is how to use the funds available ie $36,000 still remaining. Marie Dulce did not want any of the money transferred to the Church. It is to be used specifically for the expansion of the teachings in Brisbane or QLD.

Geoffrey and Cara and Joy have had discussion and met with Neroli and Peter on how to move on in a positive context. Logistically Geoffrey is four hours away from BNE and there is no one “on-the-ground” to co ordinate outreach or decree sessions. A suggestion from Neroli and Peter was to encourage outreach.

Geoffrey is looking to SPR to become guardians. If SPR could, upon the close of the BNE centre and the process of winding down, not winding up possibly have a 6 week session of people coming up to decree and do outreach. SPR could ask for people to volunteer for a first activity and work as a subcommittee. Perhaps a de-mag and then outreach and a time line. Maybe a Book club. Get some different pictures of Queensland and start making specific calls for those area.

The money could be used towards airfares to fly people to BNE and get started that way. Come up to Bundaberg as well. BNE would be the area to focus on. A group could go up for the initial outreach after that it could be on by skype then one person could go up every 6 weeks. A place for outreach would be needed.

Geoffrey moved a motion to Set up a interest bearing account and transfer all the money into the account and that SPR accept a role of guardian ship in relation to the funds for the BNE study group in the short term for whatever proposals Cara and GD would agree to give a yea or nea Motion was proposed by Geoffrey and seconded Jennie.

Brisbane Update and proposal (continued) Mario to set up a NAB to organise a long term account with a reasonably good interest rate for $36,000. . Keep it simple.

Next Sunday 8:00 pm 28 August 2011 would be a night to set up a subcommittee meeting for a BNE outreach. Mention this to our groups. This separate meeting will be with Geoff, Donna, Joy, Jennie and Mario and Robin. A proposal would be for a de-mag in about 6 weeks.

SU 2012 8th Jan to 15th January 2012 Glenda has done a great job at organising SU in Adelaide. The Glenbar booking was confirmed with the $250 deposit made this week.

Youth Retreat – 17th Jan – 20th January 2012 Michaela will give a report on the YR later when she gave her apologies. The YR will be held at a two story house at Sellicks beach. The address is 9 Wellington Avenue Sellicks Beach. There is a day gap between SU and YR, so Glenda has booked an extra day at Glenbarr for those attending the YR.

Childcare Room – Glenda will visit Glenbarr again and see which room is suitable for the children.

Products for Sale Brenda and Tim will bring the books over to Adelaide. Set up will take place on Saturday with Jenny Brenda and Tim, with help from David P and Daniel. There is no problem with Melbourne selling the books. Glenda will contact the Ranch about the Kuan Yin cards; and the 8 MP3 Albums on the Path of the Bodhisattva.

Transport to and from airport by Genesis Transport $25 per person for 6. The price will be lower if more than 6 people, higher if less than 6 people. Everyone needs to be at the airport by 4:00 pm. The bus will depart after lunch on Sunday 15th January 2011 so plan your return flight in the late afternoon. Glenbar is approximately 1 hour from the Airport.

Altar setup Set up will take place on Saturday, Jenny, Brenda, and Tim are coming across a couple of days earlier, David P and Daniel will help. Sydney will bring our Mother Mary focus. Adelaide has new altar pictures framed (large size) Manjushri and Amitaba and Kuan Yin focuses. One from each group as necessary. Glenda will use special flameless candles and silk flowers.

Flyer/Poster A generic poster usually comes from the Ranch. It takes about 4 weeks. We are not waiting for Mario on the flyer. Ranch has it already done and we just put our details in there. Cost per Adult accommodation $28.00 pp/pn; meals $33.00 pp/pd Total 61.00 pp/pdn is $427 for the week.

Food The caterers are able to give us the diets we require. Those on special diets will receive a ticket to ensure they get the correct food. There will be Gluten Free and Vegan/Vegetarian tickets.

Rooms and Tents and powered and unpowered sites. The rooms are all dorm style so we will have to share this time. Ablution blocks separate. We can handle it. Glenda has 2 tents available so check with her if you are interested in camping. The Powered sites are $22/couple and $30 for a family. Unpowered sites $16/couple and $20/family.

Registration fee Glenda is already liaising with Mark Chapman and Carla. $310 early bird payment is acceptable with everyone. $350.00 Registration fee and $280 Seniors Concession Food and Accommodation fee Cost per Adult $28.00 pp/pn. 13000 number – Study group payments. Brisbane will pay for this year and next year when and the transfer of the money is organised. Donna is getting together via Skype at 8:00 for Lords Ritual for the month of August for 33 days. Please be in touch with Donna to participate.

Everyone is invited to join Sydney services Wednesday 7 – 9:30, Skype for Friday night from 6:30 to 8:30ish and the Saint Germain Service on Saturday 4 – 7 pm and Sunday Service for 10 to 12:00. Kindly let Joy and Mario know when you plan to join Sydney services over Skype.

Geoffrey mentioned the idea of a GoTo meeting as there is a finite limit on the Skype quality. We will stay with Skype for now.
