SPR Meeting 28th November 2010

SUMMIT LIGHTHOUSE SOUTH PACIFIC REGION

Skype Meeting Sunday 28th November 2010 8pm Sydney time .

Present : Robin Bourke, Marie Huttley Jackson, Andrew Lachajczak, Donna McCulloch, Geoffrey Dickie, Joy Rulewski, Michaela Rouch, Jennifer Batten. Apologies : Mary Marechal Treasures report : as per web site .

SPR Elections

Four years maximum , Andrew can’t be nominated .

We need an person to run the election , Andrew has elected to do this with assistance of another person with this flame .

We will have 15 minutes at SU to speak about the elections

Marie will print out 30/40 copies of the election process 2009 to be given out to those present at SU .

Marie will also prepare a power point presentation . Included in this will be how SPR are committed to working with the NFC , Web site is progressing well , 1300 number is working well , Novena to GDD with NFC and calling for sponsorship for Australia

? Melbourne Study Group will bring a projector for us to use .

Motion proposed by Marie : We will proceed with the election process as we agreed in 2009 . Motion passed by all those present .

SU 2011 Youth Retreat

Michaela spoke about the Youth Champions of Light flyer which is being finished and details will be forwarded to people .

There will be a hike for the youth to go on

The age for being eligible to attend is 13 years to 33 years .

Children’s Program at Merroo

Cooler has been organized

Room has been hired

Communication to the children’s room will be organized by Sydney

Children’s program Michaela will bring some things with her ? Small chairs Marie will bring some things with her .

An Altar table will be set up in the room

TV and DVD Sydney will supply as well as something to play CD’s , Joy will communicate with Marie .

Parents Co Op they will need to help.

SU Two parts

If people only want to attend for “Understanding Yourself Part 3 and stay until mid on Wednesday ,we need to work out how much they need to pay for SU and their board .

Joy will make enquires as to how much each of these will cost and let us know .

Reverend Neroli Duffy and Reverend Peter Duffy’s board will be $1,902 plus air fares .

Scholarships

People need to pay their own accommodation

Scholarships will be for SU registration only

Member of SPR volunteered to for a sub committee to look at the applications and divide the money between the applicants

Sub committee members are Donna , Joy Geoff and Jenny.

An email will be sent out to invite people to apply for scholarships , and to invite anyone who would like to donate towards the scholarships to do so.

Presents for Reverend Neroli Duffy and Reverend Peter Duffy.

A voucher and Robin suggested a framed picture of Neroli and Peter .

Smaller groups have payed .

Sydney and Melbourne are out standing .
