SPR Meeting 24th October 2010

SPR Elections

• SPR elections 2011 The Study Groups have their elections in February 2011 , SPR will have their election following that in March 2011.

• SPR term is for two years unless an election is held to form the ANB prior to that

• What challengers /issues do we need to address

• We need to work in unity , we don’t want division between the two groups . We need to communicate so that people feel that they are part of the decision making .

Voting

• Charted Study Groups have one vote but many members.

• KOF not in Study Groups have one vote . This has been discussed in NFC and SPR . It is the mandate of the NFC to come up with some ideas.

• The policy at present is one vote per Charted Study Group

• Marie sent out voting document for SPR to allow the members of SPR to have a better understanding of the voting process.

Two motions were put forward by Geoff that:

1. SPR will keep the election voting as is .All present were in favour.

2. Issue voting will be clarified e.g. how it will work during meetings . All present were in favour

NFC SPR Meeting

Youth Retreat 2011

SU 2011

• Reverend Neroli Duffy has recommended that we have an hour during a lunch break to up date the participants of SU on the SPR and NFC

• SPR’s main focus is the up coming elections in Feb 2011 which would take approx 10-15 minutes.

• Mary will send an e-mail to Tim Ross to get his feedback on how much time the NFC would require for their presentation.

• People need to realise that both the SPR and the NFC will cease to operate once the ANB is formed.

SU Fees:

• Discounted fees will close on 16th Dec 2010.

• Scholarships may be available upon request to SPR for SU registration not for accommadation.

• We will wait and see what our numbers are like .We would be aiming to have 30/40 people present

• Airfares for Rev Neroli and Rev Peter Duffy are included in the registration fees.

• AV Sydney Study Group will be responsible for the laptop , speakers , amplifiers ,microphone and podium

• Sydney is to look after the Altar(s) – (including the candles). KOFs from other States can bring along own focuses they want to put on the altar(s).

• Flowers People will be requested to bring Silk flowers to put on the Altar and around the room.

• Children’s room will have an air conditioner supplied by Sydney

• A sound system will be connected to the childs room for the SU room.

Sydney will provide the books and run the book stall

• Ways to raise money for SPR .Robin will bring her juicer for the carrot juice .

• Presents for Neroli and Peter , we will have a collection at SU . We need to decide at the next meeting what we want to buy for them .

• Transport to and from the Airport ? SSG will hire a van and one of the men can drive it . If possible people can make their arrival time early in the afternoon . The travelling time from the airport to Merroo is approx 1hour 15 minutes .
