Self-Worth
A small word, perhaps but it plays a big role in how you either accept yourself or not. For what are you without self-worth? You roll up into a little ball and say ‘woe is me.’ It is the little man syndrome except the little man is trying to over come his smallness by knocking you down so he feels better about himself. Everyone wants to feel better about themselves. They drink to drown out the smallness they feel inside.
They think, by drinking, things will change and yes they will change – for the worse. That bravado and swashbuckling character. Puts me in mind of Errol Flynn. They fill the movie screens with heroes and heroines to capture our imagination. Oh wow, I just saw that – they literally capture, imprison our, your imagination. I have heard movies described like that and that is what they do – they tell you what they are doing and go ahead and do it and we let them.
Well they don’t just want to capture your imagination, they want to fill it with all types of fantasy and horror, so you will never have a chance to think better of yourself. If they put on the screen, which they did in the forties – well they had to , your parents and grandparents would never have put up with what is on the screen now. If they showed you humble, healthy whole people with well written stories – you could feel good about yourself by going to the movies.
Instead they play drivel and his bad brother on television. Think about that tell a vision, and they ‘program’ you to sit there and take it in while they ‘channel’ to you that which they want you to know. They pretend to give you choice in the news. 4 channels or however many with so much bad news, it must be down heartening to come home and watch this stuff. This is what people call relaxing.
It is nowhere near relaxation. Relaxation takes work. You need to lay down on the floor and consciously go through every muscle in your body and tell it to relax. When you do this often enough and all these things that are worth doing – take time. You need to build a momentum. It is like saving money – you start and every week you put away a little bit and after a while it is growing nicely, so keep going.
Everything starts small – just like a baby, a plant or anything else and yet we want it to happen overnight. Spiritual progress also takes time and constancy and practice, practice, practice. Self-worth takes time as well and just saying I AM worthy which is very useful will take a while until you start to feel it and then you start to put more energy into it because you feel it inside you and when you have that no one can tell you, you are not what you are.
For you have built a strong foundation while other people build on sand and their structures fall but you build solidly and your building will stand. You will be have self-worth and no one can take it away from you for you are worthy because your I AM Presence is worthy. There is nothing without the I AM Presence. The universe would not exist without the I AM Presence. Here O universe I AM grateful for my Mighty I AM Presence!
