Putting on the Garment of the Lord

This is spoken about in the Teachings. I think Mother has talked about it. What does it mean to put on the garment of the Lord? In your mind you think, perhaps that you put it on and forget about it. Actually, it means putting on the consciousness of the Lord and this cannot be done all at once. It can only be done as you assimilate the Master’s consciousness.

Is this important? Yes because we tend to think that because we ask for it, it is given and it is but not in an amount that we possibly expect. Let’s say, ‘I invoke the electronic presence of Jesus Christ.’ for example. Do your give this all of your attention, every time you say it? If not then how can the Master give you any more than your attention can handle? He cannot, for the rest would spill on the floor and be gobbled up by who knows what.

Remember the saying, “Cast not your Pearls Before Swine.” The swine would take all you cannot handle. Therefore, the Master only gives as much as you can hold the balance for, only as much as your attention to the Master can hold. So you receive a little of the Master’s consciousness, a little of the garment of the Lord. This to help you and also to see how you will use it.

Will you spend it on watching questionable movies or something more spiritual? Will you bless your food with attention or will you just mouth the Words? All these things become very important as you move up the path – consciousness wise. Consciousness and where your attention is becomes extremely important as you balance more karma and as you start to develop some mastery.

It is the mastery you really want. That is Christ-mastery. You put on the consciousness of the Christ in increments and you start imagining a better you. You ask, “Can I really do this?” The answer is yes – will you do it, is another question. Will you make the commitment to make your ascension regardless of what comes your way? The Masters can use that commitment. That is what is needed.

You’re committing to the path and to walk all the way into your I AM Presence. The path starts with the first step, then another foot in front and another.

Think of yourself as an Ascended Master, think deeply, what does it mean? It means you can look into the past, present and future and see all the wonders of the universe, not just see but be there – all without having left the comfort of your favourite chair. I means you will be busy helping others to be where you are. You also want to keep growing and expanding your consciousness and there needs to be someone to take your place.

Otherwise you need to work with individuals and bring them to that place so they can take your place and hold the balance and then you can go on in Cosmic service for that is where we are. Cosmos.
