Montessori accreditation in Australia
Dear Ones,
I have Great News to Report. Today Mary Ellen has gotten word back from MACTE stating that the Residency Site in Bega, NSW has been approved for accreditation. This means that anyone taking the AOM online course with Residency component taking place in Bega, NSW will be fully accredited by MACTE. MACTE is the Montessori accrediting body in the US which is recognised internationally.
In addition, this is likely to be the last time that Mary Ellen offers the Residency component in Australia unless the numbers increase dramatically. Instead those from Australia and this region who enrol in the AOM online course will need to go to Bozeman, Montana for the Residency component.
I know that many of you have expressed an interest in taking the AOM online course. If you are still interested, NOW is the time to contact Robert Worobec at robert@ageofmontessori.com to discuss your options. It is possible to audit the Residency Workshop being held in Bega from Sept. 18-October 5, 2016 and then at a later date when and if you are ready to take the course for credit you may pay the extra amount and receive credit for this section.
If you have felt a prompting to take this course, the opportunity to take the Residency workshop close to home is NOW. During the Residency Workshop Mary Ellen presents each piece of apparatus that is used in the age 3-6 classroom and brings her many years of expertise and the flame of Montessori that she bears to each presentation.
The Residency Workshop has been reduced from 22 days to 15 days so anyone attending in September will be able to fulfil the entire requirements for the Workshop.
Please consider making the calls for the Will of God for you and then if you hear his voice calling you to AOM, make the call to Robert Worobec.
Always Victory,
Donna Marie McCulloch
