Let the Buyer Beware
Innocent KOF get taken in by this kind of scheme every couple of years through other KOF. Neroli Duffy
Dear Keepers of the Flame,
We want to remind you of the policies of our messenger and the organization regarding promotion of business opportunities among Keepers of the Flame. We caution you not to assume that any business opportunity is sound simply because you hear about it from a trusted fellow member. For example, we understand that many of our members are investing in Iraqi currency with the expectation of large returns from inflation. We urge each one of you to please read the attached statement of teaching and policy regarding such matters that our organization has issued in the past. As always, our motto in these matters has been “buyer beware.” Additionally, we want to remind you of our longstanding policy against promotion of your own personal businesses at Church events, in Church facilities or on local group property, with the limited exception that business cards and notices may be placed on community bulletin boards designated for that purpose.
Thank you for your attention in this matter.
Sincerely,
Rev. David Drye Spiritual Director
