Know yourself

As it said in the temple of Delphi – Man know Thyself. There are numerous ways though generally, you need to become still. At least you need to calm your emotions. E- Energy in motion – E-Motion. As a practical aid, the card game Patience may help. Why do you need to do this? You don’t but then you will not find out anything about yourself and who do you have with you all the time? That’s it – Your Self – yourself. When it comes right down to it, who can you really depend on? Only yourself.

Only you know how you feel, the talk going on inside, whether you are hungry or thirsty. Another person will only know if you tell them. You have lived with yourself for let us say forty years or thirty years and are you better off than before? Well you may have acquired a bunch of things and they have probably acquired you as well. When I say that , I mean you have attached yourself to them, so if they are gone, you miss them. You have attached feeling to the items or persons. See how easy it is to give out feelings? Almost without thinking about it.

In all your acquiring, have you acquired anything of value? Yes, you will say, since you have expensive items etc. Okay – so have you acquired anything you can take with you when you shuffle off this mortal coil? Because you know you cannot take that brand spanking new Sound System with you. Neither can you take the clothes you are wearing, even the ones you may be buried or cremated in, they stay with the physical body. So where are you now? No physical body. It is probably a shock to your emotions, yes you still have them. The only thing you lost was the physical body.

If you had bothered to get to know yourself, you might have discovered that you had 4 lower bodies and the physical was a quarter of yourself, roughly, the densest part of you. It felt good to stretch that body but now, can you stretch your memory body, your mental body or emotional body? Well, perhaps it is a good thing you aren’t dead, so that now perhaps you have a reason to get to know yourself. So that when you die or the physical body dies, you will have some idea of what you can do, where you can go – how to see, hear etc.

So, Know Thyself – entails quite a lot of study and you do not like studying or maybe you do. Still they do not teach you about that in school. Where will you find out about it? You will have to search and go to places that can teach you about life after death. There are teachings available which will teach you about life and death and what to do then, though you will need to do the application. Without the application, you get nothing.

In the bible it said, ‘Study, to show thyself approved’. Without study, you do not know how to apply the knowledge and knowledge is only as good as it is applied, since you need to prove it to yourself at least and your guru. You can show your application to your guru by giving the decrees for what is needful to the guru. You need to increase your Light and work in conjunction with the guru since the guru has no physical body any longer he/she really needs you.

Man Know Thyself as God. In embryo, certainly but not always if you keep at it. If you follow the steps outlined in the Teachings and are determined to give of your best, you will succeed. There are so many who already proved it now you need to prove it for yourself.
