How do you expand consciousness?

Some weeks ago a lesson was given during a Sunday service. The exercise was to put one finger about 6 inches in front of your face and focus on it. After some seconds , focus one everything around it, so become aware of it. Thus you are expanding your consciousness every time you become aware of something more than you knew before. Have you ever glanced at the sun?

Have you tried to send your consciousness to the sun, just to see what you could be aware of? These things we need to do to practice expanding our consciousness. If you do nothing, you get nothing.  If you lay down on your bed and send your awareness outside your house, just sit with it and become aware of what you hear, what comes into your thoughts and just try to inhabit the area.

We do not really attempt, generally to expand our awareness. We tend to think we are flesh and blood but we are more than that. We have a physical body which we wear. We have a mental body with which we pick up or create thoughts. We have an emotional body with which we feel energy movement and also feel the presence of God , Masters and angels though that is the higher emotional body.

We have the etheric body, which is the body of fire and of memory. Do you send your mental body out to have a look at the surroundings? Try it and wait to see what registers in your mind. All these things we have to practice because we are more than the sum of our parts. Practice makes perfect. if you want to expand your awareness, practice expanding it safely of course.

Assign yourself to a Master and see if you can pick up the Master’s thoughts. Talk to your Holy Christ Self, the worst thing that can happen is you might contact a false master. This is nothing to fear and you will find out very quickly that it is a false master if you pay attention. You do need to push yourself. You do need to strive because we have become lazy and do not strive to understand things that we do not know.

Expansion of consciousness is what? You have consciousness, you expand it by pushing it out to pick up more of what you were unaware of. The Soul Retrieval is a good exercise in the expansion of consciousness. As you progress on the path, give your decrees and do the soul retrieval ritual it will slowly expand your consciousness but this takes work on your part. You have to be willing to leave things behind.

Krishna taught non-attachment. You may think you are unattached but emotions can tie you to things even more so than physical string. So think again. Are your emotions elsewhere? Do you ask your Holy Christ self for help? If not, why not? Your Holy Christ Self will always help regardless of whether you know it or not. You just have to accept it and it is so and work with it.
