Breathing and the breath
For a large part of the recent past I have found myself struggling with our knowledge or lack thereof of how to breathe. Everyone on this planet knows how to breathe – Right? Wrong. For a start , most people only breathe with a third of their capacity. I’m unsure why this occurs or when and how since as a child they generally know how to breathe. Where does this break down? Perhaps at school. Surrounded by all other people who breathe the wrong way, they must affect the consciousness of the little children who are starting school.
Nothing is said about breathing but I guess pretty soon, everyone is breathing the wrong way. I’m guessing it is due to consciousness as I see no other way it can happen because in my remembrance no one ever said anything about breathing unless it was at physical education where you might have to take a deep breath. Why does not anyone teach you how to breathe if it is so important to breathe correctly? They, themselves do not know how to breathe. This goes back 1000’s even millions of years, many lifetimes ago.
The good news is your soul knows and the soul knows how to breathe – the difficulty is in getting through to the physical body, through the mental and emotional bodies. Even more good news is the violet flame and forgiveness. I suppose most people only get to start to learn about breathing is in taking yoga classes.
Yoga is a good discipline for the physical body as well as the other bodies because it requires mindfulness. Another branch of Yoga has to do with breathing and is called Pranayama. This is a practice of breathing in a certain way to clear the nerve currents and to improve the health of the body by accessing it internally through the breath. Djwal Khul’s breathing exercise in the Intermediate studies of the Human Aura is a part of Pranayama – called more loosely rhythmic breathing. Now we have spent a bit of time in expounding the benefits of these breathing techniques.
So perhaps you would like to try a breathing technique – Let’s do Djwal Khul’s one – sit up straight, feet flat on the floor, hands in your lap. Give the Call to the Fire Breath Decree 1.01 x 3. Breathe in starting with the abdomen, then into the mid-chest and to the shoulders – allowing the Holy Spirit as the destroyer to consume substance. That is one complete in-breath. So again – breathe in for a count of 8. Hold that breath for a count of 8 and visualise it it penetrating your physical form as the essence of the Holy Spirit which nourishes, stabilizes and balances the interchange of energy in the physical atoms, molecules and cells. Exhale for a count of 8 – see all negativity, gunk and darkness being flushed out of your body. Hold the air out for a count of 8.
There is a lot already written about the breath and how to breathe in various books on yoga and it might be an idea to have a look for some. It may be possible that some are very low cost on Amazon. Indeed there are a few. I leave it up to you.
